Going on My Honeymoon, Time to Disconnect!

Couple on a cliff

Wow, what a high.

Saturday was my (our) wedding day, and it was nothing short of magical. The love we exchanged, and even more so, the love we received, was powerful and palpable. I guess it’s true, love begets love.

And now with all the energy and good (great) vibes that showered us, we carry ourselves through this week, with full hearts. And this Saturday, we embark on another adventure!

Our honeymoon.I have to say, I totally resisted calling our post wedding vacation a honeymoon for a long time. Well, because, I don’t tend to love labels. But, I’ve embraced it with open arms.

My husband and I are going on our honeymoon. Yup, two labels, one sentence. I’m getting good at this!

And as we prepare to fly, fly away, I realize that what I need, is time to disconnect. No expectations. Just my man, the sun and whatever adventures await us.

For our ceremony, we decided to write our own vows. And among the several promises I made was this one:

“I promise to explore, learn and thrive with you. And I promise to sit still and enjoy the simple moments with you.”

And that’s what I’ll do, on this vacation, and the rest of our lives.

My soul is craving this adventure, free of schedules and to-do lists. And my heart knows that our recent nuptials deserve this time, just him and I. We’ll explore, learn and thrive on this trip, and we’ll sit still and enjoy the simple moments too.

So, I won’t be posting articles, videos or sending out newsletters for the next two weeks. But trust me when I say, I’ll be back with lots more to say!I haven’t skipped a week of posting since Ask Diana came to life over a year and a half ago. And while I’m quite strict with my deliverables, and embrace consistency as the path to success, I’m also sensitive to the ebb & flow of life. And sometimes, you just gotta listen, trust and let life happen.

And right now, life is saying, savour this precious and unique time.

So until we meet again, I’m sending mad love and deliciously positive vibes your way.

Peace, love and time to disconnect,

Diana
